Daniela Silva
Daniela Silva is a Portuguese filmmaker, visual artist and sportswoman. (1993, Porto - Portugal) Since 2011, she has been developing projects in the area of visual arts, especially in drawing, painting, photography, video and cinema. She trained in the areas of visual arts, photography, sound, cinema, audiovisual, communication, political science and international relations, military and sport. Between 2008 and 2011, she studied Visual Arts at (ESEQ). Since then and until 2015, she completed a degree in Cinema at (UBI); She specialized in Sound between 2015-2016 at Restart (specializing mainly in sound capture and editing); Between 2017 and 2019 she completed a Postgraduate Degree in Political Science and International Relations at (FCSH-UNL); Between 2020 and 2021 she completed the 1st year of the 2nd cycle of Master's studies in Communication Sciences in Cinema and TV; From 2017 to 2021 she completed a Master's degree in Sports from (ESDRM / IPS), having contributed to studies on Physical Education; Between 2021-2023, she completed a Master's degree in Communication Sciences with a specialization in Strategic Communication. In 2022- 2023, she did research and photography within the framework of Intergenerational relationships: source of vitality" - in cooperation with the General Foundation of the University of Salamanca - Photography Competition. Between 2012 and 2017 she was a sound assistant and sound director for some films. She served as a technical assistant at Restart (2015-2016); She was a sound operator at RTP until 2017. She was a film judge at some film festivals. She produced her first documentary "Memórias de um Rio" in 2019, which premiered at the Kalajoki Film Fest, in Finland, having been selected six times (between 2019 and 2021) for the Lift-Off Filmmaker Sessions. Between 2019-2020, as part of the mission she carried out in Mali, she captured and edited video for EMGFA- UN Minusma (Programme des Nations Unies pour le développement Mali). Between 2022-2023, she was a master's fellow at (ICNOVA) and interned in strategic communication at a scientific society for sports pedagogy (SCPD). She participated in the 17th edition of the Laguna Art Festival and her works were included in the gallery - Arte Laguna World 2023. Since then, she has provided support as a communications consultant and produced video and photography projects as a freelancer.
